"When choosing an attorney, the client should keep in mind the old adage 'never take a knife to a gun fight.'"

Chris R. Lay is a native Texan who was raised and still resides in Brazoria County, Texas. He firmly believes that success in the courtroom involves preparation, tenacity, experience and being able to personally relate to a jury. With his trial experience and knowledge of the local communities, Mr. Lay combines all of these attributes to achieve the most favorable outcome possible for his clients.

In 1990, Mr. Lay was awarded his Bachelors Degree in Psychology from the University of Houston. In 1999, he received his law degree from South Texas College of Law. Although his primary litigation practice centers on personal injury and family law, he also has experience in probate, insurance litigation, business litigation, employment discrimination, medical malpractice, maritime law and toxic tort litigation.

Mr. Lay is a member of the State Bar of Texas. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, the Northern District of Texas and the Eastern District of Texas.
